Secrets to having the Best day at the Parks

1. Eat Breakfast or a Quick Snack in the morning

You should have a good breakfast in the morning. There are plenty of great quick service or table service restaurants to grab a quick bite at Disneyland or Disney's California Adventure. You can always bring a granola bar or other snacks with you if you prefer to save some money on breakfast. You can make a breakfast  reservation for a table service restaurant in the parks prior to park opening. This will allow you to gain early entry into the parks if you are staying on Disneyland property. After your meal you will ready to hop on some rides without having to worry about rushing to beat the crowds!

2. Stay Hydrated

You should always stay hydrated especially during the summer months. Since bottled water can get pretty pricey, we recommend bringing your own reusable water bottles to the parks. There are many water fountains and refill stations scattered throughout the Disneyland resort.

3. Make sure to find moments to relax

You are on vacation. That means you should be spending some time with your feet up! Occasional breaks during your full park days are strongly encouraged so that you can refresh, unwind and keep yourself energized. A table service restaurant for lunch or dinner would be a great opportunity for a nice break. Don't forget that you can visit the Disney's Paradise Pier, Disneyland and Disney Grand California and Spa hotels outside the gates that you can visit and explore. These resorts have some nice, relaxing and quiet places to sit or a variety of restaurants that you can dine at even if you are not a resort guest!

It is recommended for travel parties staying for more than 4 days to incorporate some non-park days. 4 full park days in a row is exhausting. Days off can be spent exploring some of the nearby resorts, hanging by your resort pool, or shopping and dining at Downtown Disney .

4. Be Spontaneous

We know that a Disneyland vacation requires a lot of planning, but you should never be afraid to scrap some of those plans if you are just not feeling it. Being spontaneous and throwing away plans in order to create new ones might be the right decision! Some of the best memories you can create happen at the spur of a moment.

5. Be Flexible

Being flexible when it comes to what you would like to see or do at the parks, helps families have a better Disney experience. There are probably 500 things on your list that you would like to see, eat and do, but there are only so many days in a vacation and a limited amount of hours to do these things. Our best advice would be to try and list 5 things you would like to see and do in each park. Any additional attractions that you are able to hit along the way, is a bonus and adds to your overall trip experience. Also, remember that attractions unexpectedly break down from time to time.  When these things happen, be prepared to switch your plans around so that you may fit it in at a different point in your trip.
